On one hand, Realism would probably be impossible on the later maps with some nasty traps, Nightmare + Black Metal are out of the question because of increased enemy speed. You take only 50% more damage and enemies are easier to kill, plus you move faster.Īnd then, purist vs normal? I tried Nightmare for a second and increased speed of demons easily makes up for 700% less damage taken on paper (comparing to Realism), you just die so much faster. Here is a general guideline of the difficulty levels you should expect.
I'm trying to get into Scythe wad, and I'm thinking that desipte Realism Mode being the last choice, it isn't necessarily the hardest.
